An android is a robot that is in human or animal form. A good example of an android is C3PO from Star Wars. A cyborg is a mechanical entity that had organic components. Examples are Robocop, Terminator, or the replicants from Blade Runner. Technically people who have lost limbs and are using computerized prosthetics can be called cyborgs.
