sixpair is only for “flashing” your N900 BT address to the controller.

The mapping of joystick keys to XEvents is done by the XOrg joystick driver, that is configured with /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/20-x11-sony-sixaxis.fdi file.

Hi5 Tomasz,
is there any option to change default mapped keys ? I’ve been lookin through all the sixpair’s source code and i couldn’t find it .. maybe there’s simplier solution ; )

btw. możesz odpisac po naszemu jeżeli nie masz nic przeciwko :D powyższe napewno przyda się też innym ;)

All working for me, only thing is that the button mapping in that pic doesn’t correspond the the button mapping on the controller… (I think i recall somewhere in a thread you said you’d changed it at some point)

Top work though, it’s far more comfortable for playing games on now!

I tried that, but the N900 could not detect the controller connected via USB. USB hostmode on N900 is a hack and does not work with all devices. I could get a mouse, keyboard and pendrive to work, but not the PS3 controller.

Hi Tomasz,
A question before I get started maybe you already tried:
I would like that without the PC part (it is a bit inconvenient).

So how about compiling the sixpair for arm, puting it on on the device and
doing the pairing with SIXAXIS connected to the phone via USB (considering you have micro to mini usb cable – but that is not a problem).

Is it possible?

I think that now it may possible to pair the controller using the n900 itself. To get usb hostmode you need to install the kernel-power 46 (which is in extras-devel right now).
Search in youtube for “n900 usb mouse” (i can’t get the direct link now). I’ve got an usb mouse working on mine too. Works perfectly.
I already compiled your sixpair.c using the n900, but I don’t have a controller here rigth now.
I’ll try to pair the controller as soon as I can. I’ll keep you posted.
