You’ve been waiting for this too long, so I finally released first part of my new Playstation emulator for Maemo. It’s based on updated source of PSX4ALL by ZodTTD and incorporates Maemo specific backends written by me. It uses new PulseAudio sound backend and HAA display scaling PSX native resolutions to 640×480 for N900 display (so it keeps correct aspect ratio).
The new concept for the emulator fully utilizes Maemo osso-games-startup frontend with standalone CLI psx4m worker binary.

Hey I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but i have this installed but cant seem to find the application from my app list… Is it a command interface or am i having an issue? Sorry I’m new at this.
I have custom kernel running at 900mhz the ‘zImage900.fiasco’ on pr1.2

CLI stands for Command Line Interface, so you are absolutely right, that this is “a command interface”.

I`ve bought n900 only for this program but I can`t use it! how can I run games! i would apperciate that if you answer me the way of installing this program! there is no icon for psx4m I can only unistal it from application manager!
PSX4M is a CLI app.
If you were looking for a pocketable PSX emulating device the N900 is a bad choice.
You should had buy GP2X Wiz or Caanoo and install PCSX4ALL.
you are right. I made a mistake about buying n900 for this reason! but any way, I`m looking for instruction about how to instal psx4m in my N900, because there is no icon for that! I`ve found instruction here http://q8phantom.webs.com/apps/blog/show/4379159-guid-how-to-install-and-run-psx4m-on-n900-maemo but it didn`t work when I typed command in X-terminal ! also psx4all doesn`t work “Bios fail”

but why it doesn`t play all games? I`ve tested 6 games and only one of them played. how come? is it because of SCPH1001.BIN baios?
